Your records copied off-site automatically, and brought in with care
PlayArea OS copies your venue's records off-site automatically, with nothing for anyone to remember to run, and you can ask for a copy of your own data whenever you want it. Moving in works the same way: your existing customers, products and balances are checked before a single record is written.
On its own, on your plan's schedule
A copy of your organisation is written out table by table, each file checksummed as it is made, and a manifest at the end lists what landed, so a short copy is never mistaken for a whole one. The copy travels over an encrypted connection to storage away from the live system, held by a provider that encrypts what it keeps. It runs for every venue from the first night of trading, with nothing to press and nothing on anyone's list, and you can ask for a copy of your own data whenever you want it.
How often it runs depends on your plan. Front Desk takes one backup a day, at 12 AM (midnight) venue time, and keeps it for 7 days. Venue Manager takes one every 6 hours (12 AM, 6 AM, 12 PM and 6 PM, venue time) and keeps each for 14 days. Business Suite takes one every hour and keeps each for 28 days. The midnight backup runs right after the HR retention clean-up, so expired HR data is not carried into your backups. When a backup passes its retention it is deleted automatically, from the off-site copy too. Taking one by hand with Back up now, and restoring, work the same on every plan.
Moving in from what you use now
Your customers, your products and your opening balances come across from a spreadsheet or a POS export, Loyverse included. A check report is produced first and tells you exactly what will land, so the surprises happen on a report rather than in your live data, and running the same file twice writes the same rows once. Switching to PlayArea OS walks the move end to end, and the migration guide covers opening balances and the cutover date.
Questions
How do I get my existing data in?
Your customer list, your products and your opening balances come in from a spreadsheet or a POS export, and a check report tells you exactly what will land before a single record is written. Switching to PlayArea OS and the migration guide take it step by step.
Do I have to remember to run the backup?
Never. The off-site copy is made automatically for every venue (once a day at midnight venue time on Front Desk (kept 7 days), every 6 hours on Venue Manager (kept 14 days) and every hour on Business Suite (kept 28 days)), travelling over an encrypted connection to storage away from the live system, held by a provider that encrypts what it keeps.
What is in the backup copy, and how do I know it is whole?
Every table your organisation owns. Each file carries a checksum, and a manifest written at the end lists what landed, so a short copy is never mistaken for a whole one. You can ask for a copy of your own data whenever you want it, and the reports export to CSV on any day you like.
